Not everyone has the ability to see the best in every situation. In this case, perhaps best means beauty.
We all know GÄDIS BEAUTY’S Founder Diana Yusufov as the Brow Queen and head Gädis, but do you also know that Diana is also a Beauty Business + Mindset Coach? This extension of her work as one of Milwaukee’s premier permanent makeup (pmu) artists is natural. She has a background in Business after earning her BBA from UW-Milwaukee, and then countless hours of self study and business experience over the course of her twenties as she began her career in esthetics.
Diana, also known as the Browpreneur is Diana’s outlet where beauty, brows & business meet. While you can access this work through Instagram, she also has hosted numerous masterclasses on mindset, beauty business, as well as microblading intensives. Whether you are just getting started in the beauty business or are a seasoned artist looking to expand your mind and business skills, she’s an artist, business owner, and human you want to have in your network.
We asked Diana to share some tips with us on how she manages a life of such beauty and abundance, her advice below.
There are actually some affirmation apps where you can record them in your own voice, but for me, I actually keep a separate journal of these. Of course there are a few favorites saved on my phone, but by keeping a journal for them, I can track the way I’ve moved through various challenges, in a sense, or have manifested what I affirmed by looking back at what I was affirming and how it is now what or how I am living.
I find that the best affirmations are ones that we came up with ourselves, but if you need some inspiration, visit here.
I absolutely believe that physical beauty is a reflection of inner beauty. If you are telling yourselves inspiring, kind things, you glow differently. If you are tough on yourself, chances are this is reflected in the way you live, which ultimately will influence how you appear.
We all know someone that has that something that we can’t put our finger on that makes them extra beautiful, right? I believe that magnetism is a product of the words that fill our inner dialogue and the way we see the world. If I believe that people are inherently good, that things work out for me, and that the world meets me with beauty, that’s generally my experience. This is of course not to bypass the toughness of some situations, but I do believe in the power of choosing perspective no matter what is thrown your way. My life has not always been what it is today — I’ve had my fair share of challenging people, situations, and chapters — but by consistency and dedication to believing my life was beautiful and I was worthy of more, I refused to allow myself to be deterred from creating it.
Yes! First things first, I surround myself with experts in their fields. I trust them with their work, and while that hasn’t meant a lot, I am willing and supportive of doing any treatments that help you feel good in your skin. There is a lot of science behind the way our subconscious and body work together, so I try to really feel into this statement and say it before bed and when I first wake up (when the subconscious is the most suggestible): I am grateful for my youthful beauty, radiant health, and that I am always in a state of abundance. I see beauty in all situations. I have everything I need within me.
Well, it’s clear that I truly believe health to be my natural setpoint, so any time I’m not feeling great I take it as a clue that there’s something I am ignoring or missing in my life. Maybe I’m overbooked or there’s a mental / emotional / spiritual belief that needs some attention. I always listen to those things!
Otherwise, I go to the professionals to help with this. I have so many other things on my plate that I LOVE, so I don’t prioritize spending time cooking — this actually gives me permission to outsource this to people who do, whether that’s supporting local restaurants, chefs (simpleeatsmke.com), or Factor_ meals. I’m also on top of my supplements, which I won’t advise you on but I think they’re worth exploring with whoever you get nutritional advice from.
I also get regular chiropractic care which pairs well with my general ass-whooping that I bet at Solidcore Milwaukee.
My other secret health tip is having a dog! My sweet angel Benni keeps me walking, enjoying nature, and is truly the sweetest thing. He’s certified as an emotional support animal, and somehow he always knows how to come through with some lovin’.
I surround myself with people who hold me to a higher level. It’s easy to think you’ve mastered where you are, but when you set goals and are intentional about how you spend your time and who you spend it with, you very quickly see that there are always new levels if you seek them. I have a network of powerful humans: coaches, friends, mentors, etc., who hold me accountable to the version of myself that achieves the vision I’ve shared.
Aside from affirmations, this also means meditation, hypnosis, rewiring beliefs, etc., to align myself with the best self that I am committed to.
In the chapter where I was stepping into the energy of opening the studio, I was truly shedding so many beliefs about my own beauty and stepping into self love. I wanted to create a space that would reflect this same energy — a woman who knows she is beautiful beyond her skin but feels worthy of an outward appearance that reflects her inner world. A gadis is steadfast in her self-love, and that is the guiding compass for the decisions that she makes in her life. The world responds accordingly.
